Stay Legally Compliant for Less

June 28th, 2008 GµårÐïåñ No comments

As everyone in California knows, coming soon the law is changing to mandate that people put the phone down while driving. Thank god its about time, I thought I had to go vigilante to get it done. Anyway, to ease the pain of getting a new headset, there is a website that I want to share with you.

There is absolutely nothing in it for me but I think it might be something nice for everyone out there. Try it and you will, I got two and it was painless.

I have a mixed feeling when it comes to Dell, great concept, work horse desktops but crappy and sometimes unreliable laptops and now they have been sued for what I have often bitched about for years.

Finally and now we’ll see how this plays out for the giant. I suggest you read the details here and keep an eye on it to see how it will affect you.

Consumer Resources Often Kept Secret

May 23rd, 2008 GµårÐïåñ No comments

I wanted to share with you some resources that are often kept hidden to lead people into thinking they have no options. Whether its receiving junk mail or telemarketing or catalogs, or having wrong information on your credit reports hurting you and no one removing it or not knowing how to remove it.

Use the resources below, educate yourself and take a proactive approach to fighting back and getting your good name to stay that way.

ALL LINKS PROVIDED ARE LEGITIMATE AND VERIFIED TO BE ACCURATE AND TRUSTWORTHY TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY AND PERSONAL CONFIDENCE. ALWAYS IT SHOULD BE INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY TO VERIFY FURTHER FOR THEIR OWN PROTECTION AND ASSURANCE

Get your report for free as entitled under the law:

Annual Credit Report (Legitimately under Federal law)

or you can get them directly from each credit reporting agency:

Equifax – www.equifax.com
Experian – www.experian.com
Innovis – www.innovis.com
TransUnion – www.transunion.com

Do not waste your money on getting the custom scores each company offers as they are useless in the real world, only FICO scores are valid and you can get that from Fair Isaac directly at myFICO including 12 reason codes for all three of the bureaus and the complete snapshot that provides you with very good overview of how you are seen.

Educate yourself in the law and what you rights are and what they try to keep from you by getting it from the horse’s mouth:

Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and FACT Act
Federal Trade Commission Credit Repair

Finally be more proactive and take the abusers by the balls and stop getting junk mail which if falls into the wrong hands can give them the power to steal your identity and abuse your good name and credit leaving you to suffer the consequences:

OptOut Prescreen
Direct Marketing Association

You now have all the information necessary to protect, repair and improve your credit and your ability to secure better rates, get credit and generally stop being a victim and fight back.

Good luck and hope this helps you. If you find it useful, please give a shout out and let me know so I know my effort was worth the trouble.

California Attorney General vs. Capital One Credit

May 8th, 2008 GµårÐïåñ No comments

If anyone has Capital One credit cards, shortened to Cap 1, even further to most of us known as Crap1, you know that the company is for the most part a violating giant when it comes to consumer rights under the law and the California AG is trying to get at their records to prove it. However, as most giants do when threatened, they sue for an injunction.

For everyone’s sake, let’s hope they lose that injunction and we get some relief under the law. Read more about it here in the Reuters;
